The Gsiesertal-Welsberg-Taisten is part of the largest cross-country skiing carousel in Europe.

The wide, sunny valley floor is perfectly suited for 42 km of cross-country skiing trails in winter. Through a dreamy winter landscape, the cross-country trail stretches over snow-covered fields, through romantic snow-covered forests, past picturesque farmhouses and inns directly on the trail, which invite you to enjoy a hot tea or mulled wine or a light wholesome meal. At the end of the valley in St. Magdalena, the cross-country skier will be challenged, but then he will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the valley and the pleasure of a rest on the sun terrace.
Afterwards you can ski out of the valley, always a little down on a wide and always perfectly groomed trail. Whether for skaters or classic runners, there is room for everyone on the Gsieser Tal trail.
The cross-country skiing carousel includes the cross-country skiing areas of Antholzertal, Gsieser Tal-Welsberg Taisten, 3 Zinnen Dolomites, Osttirol, Comelico, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Ahrntal and Seiser Alm Dolomites Gröden and thus extends over a total of 8 cross-country skiing regions and 1000 kilometres of trails - all in the middle of the realm of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. The great thing about it: all these routes can be skied with a single ticket!
