Important information on correct behaviour

The picking of mushrooms is regulated by law in South Tyrol. If we abide by them, we help to preserve the natural balance. In this way, we and future generations will be able to enjoy our treasured natural landscape in all its abundance for a long time to come.

Regulations for mushroom picking

a) Outside the municipality of residence: Payment of the collection fee of 10 euros per day in favour of the municipality in which you wish to collect at the offices of the Gsiesertal-Welsberg-Taisten tourism cooper-ative or online. Payment also possible for several even days.

b) Within the municipality of residence and in your own area: A valid identity card

Only in the municipality for which the picking fee has been paid or in the municipality of residence.
Mushroom picking is prohibited in protected landscape areas and where the landowner has put up prohibition signs.

Only on even days between 7 am and 7 pm. Private owners, tenants and usufructuaries on their own land without time restrictions.

a) Outside the municipality of residence: 1 kg per day and person (over 14 years of age) on even-numbered days
b) Within the municipality of residence: 2 kg per person per day on even-numbered days
c) Private owners, tenants and fruit growers on their own land: 3 kg per day and person

a) Mushrooms must not be damaged where they grow.
b) Mushrooms must be transported in rigid, open and well-ventilated containers.
