Alpine farming culture

Where the past is still visible today

Valle di Casies/Gsiesertal valley, like the whole of South Tyrol, has a history characterised by farming. There is hardly any other valley in the country where the past can be felt and seen as strongly as here: Our original farms characterise the landscape and are part of our living environment. We cultivate the steep fields on the mountain slopes and manage our Alpine pastures. We conjure up culinary delicacies from the food we grow and refine ourselves. And we socialise with each other in everyday life.
Local products & farm shops
Delicious food from the region
Eggs from happy hens, meat from Casies Alpine oxen, crunchy vegetables from the farm garden, cheese from the smallest show dairy in South Tyrol and jam made from fresh berries, of course on bread straight from the farm oven. We love our own food, but we are also happy to share the pleasure with you.
Eat like in the old days
Dine in traditional inns
Delicious Schlutzkrapfen with parmesan and butter, a succulent roast from the Gsieser Alm ox and fresh apple strudel to top it all off - enjoyed in a panelled parlour from the past. How does that sound?
