Free use of all public transport

When you check in at one of our member accommodations, you will receive the Guest Pass Val Casies Gsiesertal-Monguelfo Welsberg-Tesido Taisten. This allows you to use all public transport throughout South Tyrol free of charge and gives you other benefits such as discounts and free or reduced participation in the Active Programme.

Handling & validation system

With the Guest Pass you can use the following public transport:

Local buses (ski bus, city, intercity and city buses)
Regional trains in South Tyrol: Brennero/Brenner to Trento and Malles/Mals to San Candido/Innichen or Versciaco/Vierschach
Cable cars: Rio Pusteria/Mühlbach-Maranza/Meransen, Postal/Burgstall-Verano/Vöran, Vilpiano/Vilpian-Meltina/Mölten, Bolzano/Bozen-Colle/Kohlern, Bolzano/Bozen-Renon/Ritten
Funicular railway up the Mendola/Mendel, Rittner narrow-gauge railway
PostBus Switzerland between Mals and Müstair

Exceptions:

Nightliner
Long-distance trains (Intercity, Eurocity, Euronight, Eurostar)
Supra-regional trains, ÖBB and DB trains, Eurostar and Intercity as well as Alpine lines in summer (lines 439, 440, 442 & 444)
An additional ticket must be purchased for bicycles, dogs and other animals!

Regulations:

The Guest Pass is a personal, non-transferable ticket in the form of a contactless ticket or a magnetic stripe ticket. The Guest Pass must be validated before each journey at the blue validation machines on the bus or at the stations. All you need to do is hold the Contactless ticket up to the sensor at the front or insert the magnetic stripe ticket into the top of the validator. It is not necessary to enter the destination.
The user's name and length of stay must be stated on the back of the card.
The Guest Pass is not intended for sale.
The Guest Pass is valid for seven consecutive calendar days from the day of first use. For a holiday stay of more than seven days, a second ticket (valid from 0:00 on the day of arrival until 23:59 on the day of departure) will be issued.
Children under the age of six do not need a ticket to use public transport.

Detailed provisions

: Personal tickets must be presented together with a valid identity card at the request of the bus driver or control personnel. Children and young people who have not yet reached the age of 14 are exempt from this provision. It is sufficient for them to show their ticket.
: The passenger is responsible for the safekeeping of the ticket, avoiding in particular circumstances that could render the data contained therein illegible. In the case of a Guestpass which cannot be cancelled and which has not been arbitrarily damaged, the passenger has the right to terminate the journey on buses and trains with validators on board. The ticket will be cancelled by the bus driver or ticket inspector and the passenger can obtain a new ticket from the lessor. On trains, the passenger must purchase a regular ticket before starting the journey.
