From the head of the valley at S. Maddalena/Val Casies (1460m, refreshment facilities, parking fee) following trail marker No. 49, walk inside the valley past some typical farms on the left side. The trail begins by climbing slightly. Soon the forest thins out. The trail skirts a sharp left bend and you reach the Kradorfer Alm (1704m, refreshment possibility). Possible descent along the squirrel path.
