Description
The octagonal water tower is an important witness to railway history from the steam locomotive era. Opened in 1871, it served as a central water supply point, functioning as a technical “fuel station” for locomotives. Together with preserved railway buildings, it forms a coherent ensemble from the Austro-Hungarian period. The site has been listed as a protected monument since 2004.
