Goala Mill

Description

The Gailerhof Mill, also known as the Goala Mill, was built in 1863 and was once used to grind grain from the surrounding farms into flour. The restored mill is located behind the old Gailerhof farmstead along the Goala stream and still recalls rural life and the traditional processing of grain in times gone by.

Arrival

The mill is located in Welsberg. It lies along the themed hike “Circular trail to the Goala Mill”. The trail leads from the tourist office in Welsberg to the mill and a traditional bread oven and offers insights into old farming traditions and the journey from grain to bread.
