Father Haspinger House in St. Martin

Description

The building behind the Kircherwirt was erected as a shooting range in 1909 to mark the centenary of the Tyrolean freedom fighters. It once displayed a large painting by Albin Egger-Lienz showing Father Haspinger during the Battles of Bergisel. The original is now housed at Bruck Castle near Lienz, while a reproduction hangs in the house. The building was restored and renamed Father Haspinger House in 1984.
