Wayside shrine of Taisten

Description

This wayside shrine is a slender tabernacle with a pyramid roof and is considered an important small-scale cultural monument. Its four niches feature a remarkable cycle of 15th-century frescoes depicting the Madonna and Child, saints, symbols of the Evangelists and the patron saints Ingenuin and Albuin. The artworks are attributed to the Bruneck School and date to around 1460.
