The wayside shrine of Taisten is a slender, beautifully crafted tabernacle with a pyramid roof. Its four niches display frescoes from the 15th century depicting the Virgin Mary with Child, saints, evangelists, and Taisten’s patron saints Ingenuin and Albuin. The paintings are attributed to the Bruneck School of Painting, dating around 1460.
The wayside shrine is located in the centre of the village of Taisten.
