Parish Church of Saint Magdalene

Description

The Parish Church of St. Magdalena was first mentioned in 1347. Late Gothic features from 1488 remain in the choir and tower windows. Extended and Neo-Gothic in style since 1840 and 1952 under architect Erich Pattis, the church showcases Nazarene-style altar paintings by K. Jele and wood sculptures by Franz Xaver Nißl. The apse frescoes by Johann Bapt. Oberkofler and the memorial to martyr Father Johann Steinmair add historical depth.
