Parish Church of Saint Magdalene

Description

The Parish Church of Saint Magdalene was first mentioned in 1347. Late Gothic elements dating back to 1488 are preserved in the chancel and the tower windows. Extensions and a Neo-Gothic reinterpretation were carried out in 1840 and 1952 based on plans by Erich Pattis. The altarpieces by K. Jele depict scenes in the Nazarene style, while the wooden sculptures were created by Franz Xaver Nißl. Frescoes by Johann Bapt. Oberkofler adorn the apse. A wrought-iron memorial commemorates the martyr Pater Johann Steinmair.
