Dumplings, hut noodles and Kaiserschmarren pancakes taste twice as good after a hike to an alpine pasture or hut. There are a considerable number of mountain huts in Val Casies/Gsiesertal, which not only characterises the landscape, but also the everyday culture. We prefer to be up there ourselves: Where we still make a lot of things ourselves. Where we enjoy the simple life in company. Where time seems to have stood still. Come on up.
