St. Nicholas visit and Krampus show in Welsberg

On Saturday, you can get ready for the Krampus festivities at the mulled wine stand in the main square (Hauptplatz) in Welsberg from 5:00 pm. With their clanging bells, the Krampus make their way through the village and bring plenty of thrills.

On Sunday, the scouts will offer freshly roasted chestnuts from 3:30 to 6:30 pm in exchange for a voluntary donation. The mulled wine stand opens at 5:00 pm. At around 6:00 pm, St Nicholas will visit the children in the main square (Hauptplatz) with a small surprise.

The area will remain free of Krampus until 7:00 pm. The show featuring several Krampus groups begins at 7:30 pm. The Krampus show begins at 7:30 pm. Groups from Welsberg and neighbouring villages perform with striking masks, flaming torches and pyrotechnic effects. Young Krampus performers take part too.

Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo.
Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo.
