WELCOME TO THE GSIESERTAL LAUF, THE SECOND LARGEST SKI MARATHON IN ITALY
The GsieserTalLauf is one of the best-known and best-loved ski marathons in the entire Alpine region. A total package consisting of lots of sport, culinary delights, music and entertainment will be on offer. This legendary cross-country race takes place every year on the 3rd weekend in February. The race runs along two routes, one of 30 km and one of 42 km; the classic race is held on Saturday and the skating race on Sunday. The amateur “Just for Fun” group with none of the stress of rankings and timekeeping, is also extremely popular, and the programme of events also includes the “Gsiesertal-KIDS-run” on Saturday.
From the North: Munich – Rosenheim – Kufstein – Innsbruck – Brenner motorway (A22) – exit Bressanone – Val Pusteria road (SS49) towards Brunico – Valdaora – Monguelfo – Gsiesertal Valley
From the West: Reschen Pass – Bolzano – Bressanone – Val Pusteria road (SS49)
From the East: Tauern motorway (A10, Austria) or via Felbertauern (Austria) – Lienz – Val Pusteria (Austria) – border at Prato Drava – Monguelfo – Gsiesertal Valley
From the South: Verona – Trento – Bolzano – Brenner motorway (A22) – exit Bressanone – Val Pusteria road (SS49) towards Brunico – Monguelfo – Gsiesertal Valley or Venice – Treviso – motorway exit Longarone (A27) – Calalzo – Cortina – Dobbiaco – Monguelfo – Gsiesertal Valley
