WELCOME TO THE GSIESERTAL LAUF, THE SECOND LARGEST SKI MARATHON IN ITALY

The GsieserTalLauf is one of the best-known and best-loved ski marathons in the entire Alpine region. A total package consisting of lots of sport, culinary delights, music and entertainment will be on offer. This legendary cross-country race takes place every year on the 3rd weekend in February.

The race runs along two routes, one of 30 km and one of 42 km; the classic race is held on Saturday and the skating race on Sunday. The amateur “Just for Fun” group with none of the stress of rankings and timekeeping, is also extremely popular, and the programme of events also includes the “Gsiesertal-KIDS-run” on Saturday.

At the 2027 edition, we expect to celebrate the 80,000th finisher in the history of the Gsiesertal Lauf. A special milestone that is sure to create many emotional moments.

Programme: On Saturday at 09:30, the 42 km and 30 km classic technique races start in waves. The "33rd Gsiesertal KIDS Run" starts at 15:30, with skating and diagonal stride races. On Sunday at 09:30, the 42 km and 30 km freestyle races start in waves.

Arrival

How to get to Gsiesertal Valley:

By car, follow the SS49-E66 to the Welsberg West exit and take the road into Gsiesertal Valley. It passes through Pichl and St. Martin before reaching St. Magdalena at the end of the valley.

By public transport, take the Pustertal train to Welsberg. From there, take bus 441 into Gsiesertal Valley, which stops in Pichl, St. Martin and St. Magdalena.
