Snowshoe hike to the Aschtalm (1950 m) in the Gsiesertal Valley

Programme change during the Olympic Games Milano Cortina. Instead of the snowshoe hike Monte Piana, the following tour will be offered:

From the head of the valley, the hike follows trail no. 10 to the Aschtalm hut. Beautiful views of the Gsiesertal mountain scenery and the striking Dürrenstein mountain accompany the route. Experienced hikers can continue up to the Pfinnalm hut (2152 m). Refreshment stop available at the Aschtalm hut. Difficulty: medium. Time: 09:30 am.-03:00 pm. Walking time: ascent 2 hours / alternative 3.5 hours. Altitude difference: 500 m / alternative 700 m. Meeting point: 09:30 am at the bus stop at the head of the valley. Cost: GP 15 €, 25 €. Parking available at the head of the valley in St. Magdalena in the Gsiesertal Valley. Fee required. The meeting point can be reached in 5–10 minutes on foot.
