The tour starts at picturesque Plätzwiese, a vast high plateau surrounded by the impressive scenery of the Dolomites. In winter, the landscape turns into a peaceful, snow-covered natural paradise. Depending on snow conditions, you hike with or without snowshoes along an easy-to-follow trail up to Strudelkopf. At 2307 m, you are rewarded with magnificent views of the Three Peaks, Monte Cristallo, Hohe Gaisl and many other Dolomite summits. Bring your own provisions; refreshments are also available along the way.

Bring your own snowshoes or reserve them free of charge when you sign up. Wear sturdy, waterproof hiking or mountaineering boots that extend well above your ankles – Moon Boots and après-ski boots are not suitable. Wrap up in warm winter clothing, gloves and a hat. Pack a change of clothes if needed, along with a hot drink and a small snack for the walk.
