The hike begins on the picturesque Plätzwiese plateau – a wide alpine terrace with stunning mountain views in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In winter, the area transforms into a peaceful, snow-covered paradise. Depending on snow conditions, you hike with or without snowshoes along a well-marked trail to the Strudelkopf. From the summit at 2307 m, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Three Peaks, Monte Cristallo, Hohe Gaisl and many other Dolomite peaks. Backpacking provisions & refreshment stop. Difficulty: easy.
