21st Krampus parade "Höllischen Pichl/Gsies" in Gsiesertal Valley

The “Höllische Pichl/Gsies” Krampus parade has become a popular event, drawing many visitors to Pichl each year. Krampus groups from near and far parade in their fearsome masks as the sound of heavy bells fills the night. You can look forward to an evening of excitement, mystery and spine-tingling moments.

Each group presents its own style and aims to impress both the audience and the jury. A panel of judges evaluates the performances and awards a prize to the most convincing act of the evening.

The parade starts at 7:00 pm. Watch the Krampus groups up close along the route and warm up with a hot drink. Afterwards, the after-show party continues with music late into the night.

How to get to Pichl in Gsiesertal Valley

By car, follow the SS49-E66 to the Welsberg West exit, then take the road into Gsiesertal Valley to Pichl. Free parking is available at the sports area in Unterplanken.

We recommend arriving at least 40 minutes before the parade starts.

Good to know

Dress warmly and wear clothes you don’t mind getting damaged: fire and sparks during the parade could leave marks.
